I enjoy the challenge of coming up with the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on my gift list. To me, the perfect gifts are items you wouldn’t have thought of for yourself, or ones that go beyond the basic we often purchase for ourselves. To my surprise, one of my most viewed Pinterest boards is gifts for tween and teen girls. That’s who I find it the easiest to shop for! I don’t need a gift guide for that myself. So that’s a good time to write one!
I have two teen girls. This gift guide are only things I have given my own girls, items they have and love, or (shhh!) items my girls will soon be receiving as gifts.

Tried-and-True Gift Guide for Teen Girls
Pura Vida bracelets
I first found out my daughters were coveting string bracelets when they wanted to buy some over-priced ones on our trip to Maui. Then I came across these, from Pura Vida Bracelets. Not only are they reasonably priced, top quality, and easily adjustable, but they support artisans in countries like Costa Rica with full-time jobs!
My girls always get compliments on them from their friends at school. I have bought more than one set for my girls and given them to my nieces.
Not sure where to start? Teens usually wear multiple bracelets like these at a time. You can’t go wrong with their bracelet set style packs.
Fuzzy, super-soft plush blankets
We haven’t met a girl yet who doesn’t instantly fall in love with a soft, cuddly blanket. Berkshire is a blanket is one of the best. My absolute favorite blanket ever is Barkshire blanket. Cuddly soft and warm that somehow is never too hot. I think it’s the way the fur lets the trapped warm air circulate.
And my senior really wants this Peanuts Comic blanket for her dorm bed that I bought for a gift. It’s velvety soft! And the comics are hilarious! This one might just become a more well loved blanket than Linus’ blanket.
Throw pillows and novelty pillows
Soft and fuzzy once again are big wins, like these faux fur pillows at Target (that are ones we have) and this bedrest pillow at Target.
Pillows with sayings are also big hits with teen girls and you can also find cute pillows at Amazon. Be sure to notice if you are ordering a throw pillow or just a throw pillow cover.
Brush pens for Lettering
Penmanship is back! Who’d have thought? Both of my teen girls are busy practicing their lettering with Tombow brush pens. Pair them with a lettering Instruction book like Hand Lettering 101.
Adult coloring books
My girls also love adult coloring books like this. They are a great stress reliever! Gift it with a new set of colorful markers. Or some really high-quality pencils. My girls like Prisma Color Pencils.
Shoes
Teen girls really love shoes! I’m not as into shoes as a lot of women I know, so my shoes tend to only be the basic colors. My girls would like to have multiple colors, so fun colored shoes make a great gift.
But how do you gift shoes that fit? Well, you basically have to know at least what number size, but here are two brands that appear to fit almost every teen girl from the looks of what is walking down high school hallways. Also, be sure to check return and exchange policies.
Chacos don’t come in half sizes, but the do come in wide. I wear a 6 and a half and ended up with 6W. My girls wear anywhere from a 10 – 11 depending on the shoe and they both ended up with 10 W.
Converse sneakers low top and high top, teens think these even go with dresses!
Jewelry –
Jewelry is worn close to your skin, all day, every day. I’m super picky about where I purchase jewelry for my teen girls. I’ve bought from Stella & Dot. for years and always been impressed with their quality. You can read about their sourcing policies here.
This jewelry also lasts! This year, my 15-year old has asked for ear crawler earrings, which are a type of earring jacket. This is a great way to get the multiple earrings look WITHOUT multiple piercings.
Bags of all sizes
A girl can always use a bag. Here are a few we love.
Polaroid camera (actually the Fujifilm Instax Mini)
Instant cameras are oddly – insanely! – popular retro. Don’t forget the film!+ my daughter loves to use these tiny clothespins and twine to hang the photos up in her room.
Earbuds
We always need more earrbuds around the house. New phones don’t have earbud jacks! These earbuds are the ones we just hot for our new phones and they’re great!
Bluetooth speaker
My daughters love listening to music on their Bluetooth speakers, and this speaker has good reviews on Amazon.
Coffee tumblers and mugs
One of the problems with the hectic high school schedule kids have these days is so many of them are drinking coffee! My daughters go wild over a cute coffee mug or tumbler. These coffee tumblers on Amazon have good reviews and come in fun colors.
Hydroflask is a brand we love. We even put them in the dishwasher!
Water bottle
Everyone carries a water bottle in their backpack. This Camelback bottle was chosen by my daughter for her new one this year. It’s holding up great!
Luxury cosmetics –
Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette is great for a natural look for fair skin tones. This Christmas my daughter has specifically requested the Urban Decay Naked 3 eye shadow palette. When you purchase items like luxury cosmetics through Amazon, be sure to check for reviews to make sure you aren’t getting a knock-off. You can also get Urban Decay at Macy’s (I’m not an affiliate yet of Macy’s). My girls are also fans of Bath and Body Works fragrance mists.
Bath and Shower
Gifts are a good excuse to get a better than drugstore brand of bathcare. My girls are fans of Bath and Body Works shower gel and bath bombs.
Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brush System
My daughters love their Clarisonic Facial Cleansing Brushes. They were recommended by their dermatologist and they really do make a difference. They’re pricey enough that we waited to get them for them as gifts.
