Before you can add a watermark to your photos all at once in a batch, you need to have the right size image as a transparent png image. To do it in Irfanview you need know this trick!

How to resize your watermark image on a transparent background using free Irfanview

- Open your image in Irfanview
- File>Open
- browse your computer to find you image, >Open
- Image>Resize/Resample
- under set new size enter one dimensions in pixels, make sure preserver aspect ratio is selected so that second dimension will adjust automatically
- >OK
- File>Save as
- In addition to the big pop-up window, look for a smaller window that pops up to the side, PNG/PNM/ICO save options
- Select Save Transparent Color, Save Transparency as Alpha channel, Use main window color for transparency
- In the main window
- Enter a new name such as “logo watermark.”
- Pay attention to the file saving path. Irfanview doesn’t automatically select the last folder/location you used.
- > Save
- In addition to the big pop-up window, look for a smaller window that pops up to the side, PNG/PNM/ICO save options
